Primary Care Provider (FNP, DO, MD, PA)
Preventive Medicine Clinic — Colchester or Stowe, Vermont
Part-Time | 3 Days per Week (9am–4pm)
Most clinicians enter medicine to help people stay healthy.
Yet many eventually find themselves working inside systems built around speed, volume, and paperwork.
Preventive Medicine offers a different kind of practice.
We are a small (but growing), thoughtful primary care clinic focused on prevention, root causes, integrative care, and meaningful relationships with patients. Our model gives providers the time and space to listen, think critically, and practice medicine with intention.
We are seeking a licensed provider who can work closely with our Medical Director and the broader Preventive Medicine team.
This role offers meaningful clinical autonomy within a collaborative, mission-driven practice.
Schedule

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities include:
• Providing holistic primary care with an emphasis on prevention and root-cause health
• Managing patient visits, follow-ups, and care plans
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients
• Collaborating with the Medical Director and clinical team
• Helping sustain the culture and care philosophy of Preventive Medicine
• Contributing positively to the clinic’s growth and development
Who Thrives Here
Providers who do well at Preventive Medicine are:
• Curious and committed to lifelong learning
• Comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with colleagues
• Clear, healthy communicators who build trust easily with patients
• Drawn to holistic, preventive, and integrative approaches to care
• Energized by contributing to a small, growing practice
• Motivated by purpose and quality of care rather than productivity metrics
Qualifications
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician (DO/MD), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Eligible to practice in Vermont
• Primary care experience preferred
• Interest in holistic, preventive, or functional medicine strongly valued
Compensation
Compensation is $500-$2,000 per day based on credentials and clinic volume.
Providers benefit from a supportive practice model focused on prevention, longer-term patient relationships, and meaningful clinical autonomy.
This role will begin with a six-month mutual evaluation period to ensure the position is a strong fit for both the provider and the practice.
Our Mission
Preventive Medicine was founded on a philosophy deeply rooted in osteopathic and integrative medicine.
We believe the human body is an interconnected system with a remarkable capacity to heal and regulate itself when given the right support. Good medicine is more than diagnosing and treating disease; it’s about understanding the whole person, identifying why imbalances exist, and helping patients restore balance across their physical, emotional, and metabolic health.
If you’re looking for a place where modern medicine and holistic insight work together, where treatments may include osteopathic adjustments, hormone therapy, or advanced options like ketamine therapy, and where you can practice alongside a team committed to building a better model of care, we encourage you to apply.
